Most of the smoke produced will remain inside to maintain an even temperature in the smoker thanks to the well-insulated design. As the smoke slowly dissipates, the thermostat will switch the burner back on to add more.
As your meat cooks, the juices will fall into the drip pan and into the wood chip box to add more moisture to the air. As you can see, the smoker’s design is very efficient.
To fill the wood chip box, you only need to use a quarter of a cup, compared to larger models which can require two to four cups. No special woods are needed for this cooker.
